Our History & background

Waterwise Wairarapa provide Commercial and Domestic Plumbing Services, Gas Fitting and Drain Laying in the Wairarapa region. We also specialise in Wastewater Design, and the installation and testing of Backflow Systems which prevent chemicals leaking into the water supply. We are one of the few companies in the Wairarapa who are able to offer these services.

We were established 20 years ago in Masterton, Wairarapa.
The company was purchased by Rob and Sarah Summers in November 2016, Rob Summers was very familiar with the business as he was employed there for five years, including one as the companys Manager.

Rob has over 20 years experience in the plumbing industry and is currently a Certified Plumber and Certified Drainlayer.  Although originally a Wairarapa boy, he completed his plumbing apprenticeship in the UK specialising in large-scale pipefitting. He lived in the UK for 12 years and it was there he met Sarah, who worked in public relations and marketing. In 2010 they moved back to New Zealand, settling in Masterton. We pride ourselves on being a family company and we spend our time juggling both the business and our two young children.

We currently run our business with the help of Fergus job management software, which allows us to stay on top of all the jobs, costings and invoices.  This also means that your job never gets forgotten about as it is registered in our system, and it also means that you can pay us via credit card if you need to.

We pride ourselves on offering competitive rates, qualified and experienced staff and above all, exceptional customer service from first contact - to advice, assistance and maintenance after the job has been completed.
